Church Planting

Kaleo recognizes that the most important relationship for a soul to experience is reconciliation to God. Therefore, we have a passion to help meet the spiritual needs of people within a community by leading them to throne of Christ and by bringing them into relationship with other believers. We make this practical through two main ways. Indigenous Church Planting – Planting relevant churches driven by mission. Intentional Christian Communities - Promoting and developing missional house communities.
Indigenous Church PlantingKaleo is called to plant churches wherever God leads that are relevant to the community. We assess the needs and culture of the community and develop a church around those things with the intention of raising up leaders to eventually take over. Kaleo has had the opportunity to help plant a church in Dorchester, MA called Quincy Street Missional Church. It is a beautiful expression of God’s never ending grace.
Our hope is to see indigenous leaders rise up from the community to take ownership of this amazing expression of Christ’s body. We also hope to see sister church plants spring up throughout the city and, as the Lord leads, throughout the major cities of the Northeast.
Intentional Christian CommunitiesThe focus of intentional Christian communities is to live out the church in community with other believers. We build relationships with Christians who have a similar vision and desire to share life with one another and function as a creative expression of the church.
“From ashes to beauty,” is the phrase we use to describe 22 Drayton. Once a drug house, the house now consists of several Christians striving to be the light of Christ to a somewhat dark neighborhood. Brian and Cathi Corcoran and their family have been living and working in this community house since September 2003. They strive to be the church in their everyday life along with other believers within the house, and they continue to invite others to join them in the community. Is it easy? No! But it does refines and transforms all those who invest their lives in this unique experience.
